Here's what makes Players cues so special...The shaft of each cue is made with 100% American maple, produced in Michigan. And this is true hard-rock maple. The wood is hand picked by inspectors who accept just three of every ten pieces they look at. This kind of quality control is usually reserved for higher priced cues.
They all have the popular high-gloss ''Super Finish'' that competitors charge extra for. And 41 models with stainless steel joints have high-polish mirror finish applied to the joint.
These cues are made amazingly smooth with a special French cue wax that's applied to the shaft and ferrule. This smooths and seals the shaft so it literally glides through your fingers for a much smoother stroke.
All cues come with French ''Le Pro'' tips and have a special high-impact ferrule. And of those butts with wrapped handles, forty are wrapped with pressed Irish Linen (a real treat), three are wrapped with a special pressed nylon wrap, and five feature simulated wraps.
Each cue is checked for straightness three different times during the manufacturing process, and then checked again the day they're shipped from the warehouse.
Here's another quality touch generally reserved for more expensive cues: Each cue is specially treated with wood stabilizer that helps protect the wood from changes in atmosphere and humidity and helps prevent warping.
